How Do I Submit?

Please send submissions to: submissions@theartspolitic.com.

Now for the particulars…

INCLUDE. Full Name; Contact Information (preferably phone, email & city/state/country of residence);  Brief Biographical Information Recommended (such as professional or educational experience, previous publications, etc.)

For All Submissions:

  • Submissions must be previously unpublished (print & web). On occasion, we will post already-published work on our website with consent of the author.
  • Submissions may be submitted simultaneously to other publications with the understanding that the author inform The Arts Politic if submission is chosen for publication by another journal or magazine.
  • Submissions must be submitted in standard formatting. We are unable to accommodate custom font faces and colors.
  • Submissions must be limited to a maximum of 5000 words.
  • Submissions must be attached in the email as files in .DOC, or .JPG, or .PDF format only.
  • Submissions should be sent with the subject line “Submission”: followed by the title of the piece, and name of the author.

For Image Submissions:

  • Image submissions must be received in .JPG, .JPEG, or .GIF format.
  • Image submissions must be no larger than 10MB file size.
  • All image submissions must be accompanied by title, year of completion, medium used, artist statement, and a thoughtful description of how the work relates to a political or social issue.

Due to the format of our publication, images may be resized for publication.  No additional editing of any form will be authorized without consent of the creator.
